Classification standard for seamless steel tube production
Standards for the production classification of seamless steel tubes. Steel tubes can be divided into two categories according to production methods: seamless steel tubes and seam steel tubes. Seam steel tubes are referred to as straight seam steel tubes for short.
1. Seamless steel tubes can be divided into: hot-rolled seamless tubes, cold-drawn tubes, precision steel tubes, hot-expanded tubes, cold-spinned tubes and extruded tubes. Seamless steel tubes are made of high-quality carbon steel or alloy steel, and are divided into hot rolling and cold rolling (drawing).
2. Welded steel pipe is divided into furnace welded pipe, electric welded (resistance welded) pipe and automatic arc welded pipe due to different welding processes. There are two types of welded steel pipe: straight seam welded pipe and spiral welded pipe. The end shape is divided into round welded pipes and special-shaped (square, flat, etc.) welded pipes. Welded steel pipes are welded from steel plates rolled into tubular shapes with butt or spiral seams. In terms of manufacturing methods, they are divided into welded steel pipes for low-pressure fluid transportation, spiral seam welded steel pipes, direct coil welded steel pipes, and welded steel pipes. Seamless steel pipes can be used in various industries such as liquid pneumatic pipelines and gas pipelines. Welded pipes can be used for water pipes, gas pipes, heating pipes, electrical pipes, etc.
The material classification of seamless steel tubes can be divided into: carbon tubes, alloy tubes, stainless steel tubes, etc. Carbon tubes can be divided into ordinary carbon steel tubes and high-quality carbon structural tubes.
Alloy pipes can be divided into: low alloy pipes, alloy structural pipes, high alloy pipes, and high-strength pipes. Bearing tubes, heat-resistant and acid-resistant stainless tubes, precision alloy (such as Kovar) tubes, and high-temperature alloy tubes.
According to the connection method, the steel pipe can be divided into: light pipe (without thread at the pipe end) and wire pipe (with thread at the pipe end).
Car wire tubes are divided into: ordinary car wire tubes and pipe end thickened wire tubes. The thickened wire tube can also be divided into: external thickened (with external thread), internal thickened (with internal thread) and internal and external thickened (with internal and external thread).
According to the thread type, the wire tube can also be divided into: ordinary cylindrical or tapered thread and special thread. In addition, according to the needs of users, car wire tubes are generally delivered with pipe joints.
